People on disability can still earn money. It wont be an issue until it is over 1000 a month. More like 1180, but to be on the safe side.

You probably wont need to worry about making more than 1000 a month.

Short stories? Or do you do longer works as well? Do you publish them individually or do you combine them into something novel length?

Short stories, about 10k words. I've combined some of them into a collection but that's still not novel length or anything.

I'll be honest, it's a well written book but the story itself is just the rich, ultra rich, and bourgeois being terrible to each other because of pent-up sexual frustrations that they could have resolved by simply talking things out. Granted, that's not realistic, since their class in life had basically told them all they're entitled to whatever they desire. But still. Terrible people doing terrible things and only two actually get punished.
