Unfortunately, I'm going to have to delay this contest one last time; I wound up being gone for the entirety of today until now, so the next match will be going up tomorrow instead.

In a very surprising margin, Cave Story beat Undertale 19-14. Its match looked as close as a typical Undertale bout early, but Cave Story built up a decent lead in the late stretch.

Yeah, Cave Story was a revelation when I first played it back in...2004/2005. Great mechanics, awesome music, multiple endings and lots of secrets. I was like "ONE guy made this, holy shit!".

I replayed it again a year or two back, and while it's not quite as good as I remember, it's still a damn fine game.

(A lot of great games in this tourney, but I would have taken Ori or Hollow Knight to win it all, IMO.)

Cuphead v Undertale final.

I was pretty close with my prediction before the first match started back on page 1 of this topic. I thought Celeste would be the only other one to challenge Undertale though, not Cave Story.
