AMC Networks, that currently films the economic powerhouse, The Walking Dead is REEVALUATING its role in the state's nearly 10 BILLION entertainment industry if the new abortion law goes into effect.

A statement from AMC calls the law "highly restrictive" and says it's closely watching what is likely a "long and complicated fight"

Georgia's so called "heartbeat" abortion law bans virtually all abortions and will take effect next year if it's not blocked by courts

AMC has joined several other Hollywood companies in expressing concerns and have threatened to pull out of which will cost nearly 100,000 jobs in the state!!

Thousands of jobs could be lost along with billions in revenue and as well as tourism dollars that come with fans from visiting locations and on set

Governor Brian Kemp has signed the law into effect on May and scheduled to go into full effect by January 2020 though the ACLU and other abortion rights activists have pledged to challenge it.

It will make it a crime for a doctor to perform an abortion after a "legal heartbeat" can be detected that's as early as 6 weeks after conception. At that point, many women don't know yet if they are pregnant and most will miss the ability to abort

This is a law similar to Alabama and other states but Georgia has the most attention given Hollywood films there that has become a second home in entertainment

It's the "Hollywood of the South" due to its 30% tax rebat for film and tv and has grown into a 9.5 billion industry and stands to lose a significant amount

Netflix was the first to speak o ut who say they have many women working on productions there whose rights are being restricted as Disney and Warner Brothers were enxt to share doubt about their future in the state

Amazon series "The Power" had been scoting locations but has since backed out.

Kristen Wiig said she will also decline to film in the state after finished her film "Barb and the Star go to Vista Del Mar"

The Wire's David Simon, Christian VAchon of Killer Films, Mark Duplass, Neal Dodson and Nina Jacobson of Color Force are also backing out.

Jason Batemen's Atlanta filmed "Ozark" said he'd also stop shootin the state as well as Ron Howard said he'd leaev and shoot Hillbilly Elegy elsewhere

Some will film in the state for now like JJ Abrams and Jordan Peele on HBO's Lovecraft SEries but will donate all fees to the ACLU.

And while it's Georgia's loss, Canada is seeing a BOOM in production as hollywood filmmakers are moving up north where Vancouver's Film Industry said they have several scouting agents looking to film there

Do you support the "heartbeat bill"?

As someone who is pro-choice and thinks that is a stupid law, I think it's kinda stupid to not work in a state because of 1 law you don't like

Literally everywhere will have laws you don't like unless there's complete anarchy

Actors can usually afford to do it. And I think they will.
