Literally just tacking on numbers at the end but I log in like once a month at most so I forget what number I used everytime.

Yeah, we have the same requirements at my work, and it's stupid. It's actually more likely to make things less secure since people are more likely to write down their password if it's constantly changed. Microsoft and other organizations are starting to realize it's a bad requirement.

my work has a similar rule for one of our passwords. i just write it down on a post-it and leave it in a drawer at my desk

I just add a zero every time

I just have a number at the end that I increase incrementally.

Password1020

Three months later...

Password 1021

Three months later...

Password 1022

On a tangent, I forget what site it was but they wouldnt allow passwords that were a consecutive sequence of numbers. So 1234 didnt work.

But the programmer for it forgot to make reversed sequences forbidden to, so my password was 4321 lol

Same at my work.
Mine are always video game girl characters with some numbers attatched.
For several years it was Zelda girls, and now I'm cycling through FF girls.

Same, it won't let you use the same string of like 4+ characters or something like that.

Password security is important, sure, but there is in fact a point where it becomes cumbersome. Not to mention when people can't remember passwords, they'll write them down, which defeats the purpose of passwords.

My job requires you change password every 90 days, or so. They have a whole number of requirements they say your password has to meet, but they don't seem to actually check your password has to meet these requirements. The only one they seem to check is if your password is different to the last one.

My work does this too and I just change the last number.
