Dark Phoenix is poetic as a plot device, since they always use it to burn down one X-men continuity to create a new one from the ashes.

There has only been one good Phoenix story ever across all mediums, comics, TV, movies, etc. and that was the original Dark Phoenix saga. Every other story has been bad. There is no reason to assume this will buck the trend.

how crazy would it be if this movie teased a merge with the MCU at the end. Everyone writes it off and misses it and it has the single most important post credits scene lol
