Saw this memorial day sale where a new copy FFXV Royal edition, which has all DLC included, is at 20 bucks.

There's also Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition which has all the DLC and is also at $20.

I could also splurge and get the Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remastered set for $35

But I could also get Tales of Vesperia Definitive edition for that price.

Or Red Dead Redemption 2.

FFXV is probably worth $20, as long as you don't go in expecting a full fledged JRPG and instead expect something like a FF version of Skyrim.

Shadow of Mordor is good as well, but I have seen it for cheaper. Unless you mean Shadow of War, but I can't speak to that one.

I would wait for something cheaper for Vesperia & X/X-2, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is totally worth it.

Shadow of Mordor is excellent. Final Fantasy XV isn't that bad. I haven't played the DLC but the Royal Edition is actually missing episode Ardynso it might be best to wait until Square release another version with everything.

Well according to some articles, Square has stopped developing any DLC for this game some time ago with the Ardynso (sp?) DLC being the last. And seeing as it costs nearly half of the Royal edition just as a standalone DLC, I doubt Square is rushing to put it into a discounted "definitive edition."

I played at release on recommendations from youtubers and hated it, it had some good qualities but was marred by many frustrating features which are too numerous for me to list.

Ive tried to get into the game but it just seems boring every time I play it. The combat is way too floaty and I have no idea what the story of the game is at all even after several hours

Well you would if you pay like any attention at all. I mean its one of those stories where the truth of whats going on comes later but yeah.

I feel the need to say several complaints people had where fixed ot at least made better through patches. So there is still a lot of hate from people who just dropped it and never gave it another chance. I got it after a couple years so I didnt run into the problems a lot of day 1 players had.

Its noy for everyone but if you like final fantasy storytelling and easy to pick up action combat its easily worth 20 bucks.

I spent more time playing the Pocket Edition on Switch, to be honest. The cut down world was easier to bother with, for some reason. Missing plenty of content though.

FFXV is good. Especially for that deal with the DLC. FFX/X-2 is better, but that price sucks... I've seen it for under $20. The "Shadow of" games are both good. Tales of Vesperia a a fun, but not worth $35, IMO... Lastly, avoid RDR2. It's more boring than ballet or a transatlantic flight.

For $20? For sure. I bought it full price at launch and had a lot of fun with it.

Well, looks like I'm getting the Royal edition then.

I've already had a budget of around 35 bucks for a new game, so I can afford it.

I'm referring to the DLC not in the Royal Edition that they asked about in the previous post.
