I've completed Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U years ago, but something compels me to get the Switch versions of these games. However, I've never been a fan of owning duplicate copies of the same game - especially when there's little to no differences between games. I've read that they are enhanced versions from their originals, but are these two games worth getting again on the Switch? It'd be fun to stay up to date with online play and DLC and stuff, but I'm still having trouble justifying the purchases. Then again, I had the original Wind Waker on the GCN, and getting the Wii U remake was very much worth it.

Thankfully I skipped Pokken Tournament on the Wii U so I'm gonna get the Switch version of that. I have Zelda: BotW on the Wii U but I barely got into it, so I'm gonna try to sell that and use the money towards a Switch copy.

Anything else worth getting for the Switch? I've had my eye on Dragon Ball FighterZ and the Crash Bandicoot trilogy.

Do you have Hyrule Warriors for the 3DS? If not, get it for the Switch

Why not sell the Wii U versions and put that money towards the Switch versions?

Also Tropical Freeze is a must if you haven't played it yet.

The things added for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are DEFINITELY worth buying the game a second time.

MK8 Deluxe would have been worth getting closer to launch, because the online play was much more populated and people were still really into it. But now? I wouldn't say it's worth it unless you have real-life friends to play it with or really want to play portable Mario Kart.

For other exclusives, definitely get Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Zelda Breath of the Wild if you haven't yet. I've also heard great things about Kirby Star Allies and Splatoon 2, but haven't played them myself. There's also Super Mario Maker 2 and the new Fire Emblem and Pokemon games coming out later this year, plus new Yu-Gi-Oh and Marvel Ultimate Alliance games that are going to be (at least for the immediate future) Switch exclusive.

There's also plenty of great multiplatform games that work well on the Switch even in portable mode. Sonic Mania, Tales of Vesperia HD, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Super Bomberman R... even Rocket League and Minecraft are worth trying out on the Switch, not just for the portable-ness, but for the crossplay with XB1 and PC.
