I didn't see this. but I don't think it has to be sexism. I hate when people act like it's impossible to simply not like a female for who she is. I am not an expert on this woman but it seems like most of Britain hates her. and thinks she totally bungled her Brexit job. that's the whole reason she is retiring. cause she failed at Brexit. I know that much from the news. and people are glad she is leaving. that's all. she was a bad politician. just cause she is a woman dosn't mean she gets a free pass. THAT would be sexist

Disliking her or her policies is fine. Its the act of crying being a source of mockery, especially in females, which I take issue of.

So it's cool to mock dudes that cry despite the repression of the emotions being the reason why male suicide is so much higher than female?

People don't hate her because she's a woman. They hate her for the things she does. Coming after someone for crying is lame, but if anyone is trying to convince me to feel sympathy here, they can go.

the content of that mocking can still be problematic, you're not even responding to the issue at hand...

Obama is responsible for lots of human rights violations and deaths but you wouldn't be okay with someone attacking him for being 'uppity' would you?

You're right to note that context, and I agree with you that that would be bad. But I don't think crying is necessarily as gendered as "uppity" is racialized; this seems more like when conservatives made fun of Obama for crying. Except he was doing that over dead kids, and May over her dead career.

I totally agree. But the way that they mocked her for crying could have been gendered. I don't know that it was or anything, but it's not that much of a stretch to imagine imo

I don't agree.

May was really bad at unifying and rallying people.

I agree that that any PM in that scenario is being given lemons but May choose to squeeze those lemons into childrens eyes and then stumbled over her own feet, landed on the blinded children and pissed herself covering herself and the child in urine.
