Hmm, this complicates things. We could maybe do a couple sessions it sounds like on Mondays in May, but it would mean Han was out. Or we could do Friday's but War is out. But Monday's are good post-May for everyone. I'm tempted to do some sort of mini groups right now, let me puzzle some more.

What I could do is split the group in two, and that might even allow an extra player or two to sit in because you never know if everyone will want to participate. I could run a Monday and a Friday in that instance!

So here's the plan - I'm going to host two groups of 3-4 players between a Monday night and Friday night group. This means someone like @Johnbobb can also join in on one of those days.

The groups will eventually merge with the first Monday of June.

If you want to know which group better fits you, Group 1 will meet on Mondays in May: the 13th, the 20th and the 27th. Group 2 will meet on these Fridays: the 10th and 24th and 31st. I'm arranging the Fridays so IGCD can make all the Friday ones and therefore not miss a session.

They'll come together on the 3rd of June and then from there it will be Mondays going forward (at least for a while). At that point, we'll see if everyone wants to stick around. I'm capping this at a max of 4 per group, so this could mean that 2 more people could join up.

First come first served on the slots. If you can do both, pick one now; we can adjust it later if someone is locked out of the day they need.

Honestly, if enough people show up, I can start Mondays and Fridays, merge the groups for a couple weeks, and then split them with new people again for permanent weeks.

I've got a busy day today (going to see Hamilton!), but here's where I'm sitting right now:

I have enough people for two full-fledged groups at this point. I have absolutely no problem having people switch after a merged week if it's necessary for their schedule, but going forward, do people want both groups playing in the same continuity, or do people want to experience all of the content? Right now here are the people I have down as interested for the first schedule:

Monday
Hombad
War
Johnbobb
Inviso

Friday
Ermine
Wickle
Han
IGCD

I also noted the following people were interested: @ScareChan, @PrivateBiscuit1 .

If people want to give some feedback to me, that will help me determine how I proceed with the entire idea. If both Scare and Biscuit wanted to pick opposite days, that would likely work perfectly. If Han and someone else wanted to flip groups after the merged week, that would also work perfectly in terms of numbers.

After we determine that, the biggest question really will be whether both groups want to work independently of each other but in the same Gotham City, or if both groups would like to play completely separately. The upside to the togetherness is that the campaign won't drag out as long; you could also in theory float between groups if you needed to miss a week here or there, or if schedules were changing. The downside is that you would ALL miss some of the content.

I'll try to check my phone from time to time today and respond to posts, but I wanted to throw this out there as an option given that we've now got a possible group of 10.

My first group had a person who had never played an RPG before, and he said he had an absolute blast. Of course, he moved after we finished the first campaign, but he always talks about the campaign when we talked. There really isn't even much of a learning curve to it.

Plus I like the idea of being able to join the other group if a session is missed. It would be like a crossover between groups of heroes.

I'll leave it up to the individual groups, but Friday is better for me for a late start. So if you want to go late, pick Friday.

War and Ermine have already laid out characters for me, and they don't overlap even though they will use the same power technically!

So here are the issues I have.

1. Separate Groups that do the same story line (Alternate Universes)
If there is any merging of the groups, it feels very artificial and really won't make sense at all. If there isn't any merging, the fact that Han will be SWITCHING groups with someone else, or the fact that there will be swapping around in general also ruins any kinds of bonds that the characters will form with each other. Anything my character does with Han's, or any relationships that our characters have with the others will be thrown out the window completely.

2. Separate Groups that are in the same story doing different parts of the campaign
Merging and swapping around is a lot easier to do with this but also creates a lot of problems. Like you said, with this both groups and characters WILL be missing content and that's kind of a really big bummer. Another thing with the merging is that we'll effectively have 8 people playing AT ONCE and the more people you add to a group, the less impact each person has and less things every person gets to do. Each person would have an action or something to do once every like 45 minutes because there's so many people to direct and work with. It just feels very discouraging if I'm going to sit down to play this when I know I'll have maybe like 4 or 5 actions the whole session.
