Hell, the assistant store leader says he thinks i used to frequent a gamestop in a different town(never been to that gamestop before) because he saw me in that store a few times

Lol, you're over thinking. Which probably means you do have a minor case of social anxiety. Social anxiety doesn't mean you completely can't talk to people. It's more so you think you have to live up to some standards that only you care about. You should keep going to help you socially grow. It'll help you get over that anxiety you get when walking towards the store

i talk to enough people, unless i'm getting a discount i'm not really one for conversing with employees. I'm not really allowed to converse with clients at my office so it just kinda blended over.

I feel you. Part of my job means Im on the phone all day long (tech sales) so Im all talked out after and overly chatty employees annoy me.

Personally I stopped going to Gamestop for years because I got tired of employees asking me if I was buying those games for a brother or a boyfriend.

I'm pretty sure managers at gamestop actually push their employees to make conversation with customers. Why they haven't figured out that this annoys the majority of people I have no idea

How do you act when this is happening? Are you answering their questions? Just act a little cold and say "can you just ring me up?" or "don't worry about it."

I don't think this is anxiety or being "unsociable". You can be friendly and not pry too much. Save that if you two actually end up talking. Dumping your life onto someone is kind of awkward.

You go to a business a few times and the cashier sees your nametag or something. They suddenly dump their life story and try to talk about yours. It's kind of annoying if you already deal with people all day.

Small talk isn't the problem here.
