I just finished it. Interesting but Until Dawn is still my favourite interactive movie experience.

This actually reminds me more of Zero Escape than Until Dawn, with how endings unlock other endings.

And yes, the whole Netflix sequence was amazing.

I'll post my thoughts from the horror topic here.

In general I love meta stuff but it really has to strike a good balance; the "CYOA" commentary was good, so was all the concepts of free-will, and the predesignated ending, but the ending with the "game" being developed for Netflix definitely went too far. I also wish there could've been hidden third options for when you didn't want to choose between two, I tried a couple of times anyway and it always just chose something for you. Not too big a deal but would've been a nice touch for some scenes in particular. I do also want to put a spotlight on like every performance, they really helped carry the episode at times, especially Will Poulter. The Jerome F. Davies background story was scary and neat too.

I'd like to see this type of concept explored some other time, there's definitely room for improvement here.

It was cool! One problem I found though was I eventually got the point where I could call and enter a number, but I got the number wrong. I couldn't find a way to get back to that scene, which was too bad cause I would have tried again.

I got the number wrong too, I think that triggered a final ending. I wonder if there are different people you can call besides the therapist.

Is it more than just a CYOA? Black Mirror concepts are usually just haughty takes on really surface level stuff so it would be hard for this to be decent. I know it won't compare to Her Story or anything but still.

Minor spoilers but it being a CYOA ends up as part of the plot with the main character aware that his decisions aren't his own, plus some other stuff.

Anyway, just watched it and we saw a few endings until eventually it stopped giving us the option to go back and change stuff. I assume there are still more that I didn't see, in particular I figure something different would've happened if you still say no even though Stephen already has the bunny, like his mom still dies but he stops harboring any ill will towards his father about it or something. I also would've expected more stuff with Colin, and maybe opting to jump off the building instead of him would've opened up new choices involving him?

Now I wonder if I'm just expecting too much and will be disappointed if I try watching again and discover there wasn't really much else I didn't see. I don't think any of the endings I saw would really qualify as a good/true ending, but I guess I also don't know if one even exists, lol. I can see the ending with the game getting a 5/5 being considered the "good" ending, because it is still Black Mirror after all.

Theoretically, if it was pirateable, it would be 5 hours 12 minutes, play the same scenes over and over again (and I'm pretty sure out of sequence) and all the best stuff happens in the first hour and a half. And you keep watching and fast forwarding through the repetitious scenes expecting it to end with the "true" or "best" ending until you realize it ends with him listening to static on the bus and credits rolling, and the 5/5 ending was at the 1h12m mark.
Still an interesting experience, though!

Didn't really get it. Wasn't much of a conclusion. I got like 3 main endings I think (with credits) and then it didn't give me any choices to reset anymore.
