Just saw the HD version was released on Switch, missed that. Worth it for someone who has never played or has it aged poorly?

Don't the HD versions cut out part of the ending, though, because of weird copyright stuff due to being on different consoles?

I love the game but the ending is terrible. Not a big loss if true.

My favorite game ever made. But I understand it is not for everyone. The brush mechanic is very unique, the art is beautiful, and the music is top notch. VERY long game tho. They tease you too about 25% through and make you think you beat the game but nope, still a long way to go

My only complaint is the game is too long. It's not artificial length and it maintains quality throughout, but it just could have been a bit shorter.

literally without hyperbole over 50% of the game is tedious unskippable redundant dialogue were npcs repeat the same thing 5 times in a row

you could cut half the game and miss nothing. that's as artificial as it gets

I just beat the game a month ago. The first 5 or 6 hours was boring as fuck and I wanted to give up on it but I kept playing and it developed into one of the most fun and epic adventures in a game that I've had in ages. The more abilities you unlock the more addictive the game becomes. You should definitely play it

The game is fantastic, one of my favorites. It looks fucking gorgeous in HD as well.

The dialogue can be long winded at times, but I love the characters and story so I don't think it's a huge deal. Definitely worth playing.

They had to change the music in the credits, everything else is unchanged as far as I know.

Amazing game but yeah this is the only draw back. They take what can be said in two sentences and drag it out for 4 paragraphs. Yes I know I need to go to this cave now. Just let me go do it.

As mentioned before, the cutscenes are really long. It's also almost completely devoid of any challenge (and this is coming from someone who sucks at games). But the combat is fun, and is longer than you'd expect too.

Okami is a love-or-hate type of game, like XC2

In the original PS2 release, you could not skip dialogue or cutscenes on a new file, but the Wii release and I believe the HD version as well let you skip all that

I advise skipping the intro cutscene(s), because you'll end up hearing all that shit several times while playing the game anyway, and it takes literally 20 minutes to sit through because of the slow as fuck text

My favorite part of the game is the second third (Ryoshima) which takes a long time to get to from game start (probably 20 hours)

If you're into Zelda likes, this one is probably the best of its generation
