My neighbors are blasting their music as loud as possible and shooting fireworks and yelling at the top of their lungs. Their kids are running around making as much noise as possible.
This is apparently a pretty traditional celebration for them where baby Jesus at midnight brings them their gifts and they open it up then according to the internet. Meanwhile, in USA Christmas is supposed to be peaceful. Parents of this tradition tell their kids to go to bed early and the night should be still. Yeah I have a Cuban friend and their family does everything Christmas Eve.
