I got the seamoth and just decided to pick a direction and go as far as I could, so I picked west.

Eventually, all traces of actual life or light or anything are gone and it's just pitch black everywhere in every direction, and all I can hear are occasionally roaring sounds. I'm 1500 metres away from my base, and 400 metres down, and not even sure why way is up anymore, and just extremely conscious of how small I am

This is maybe the best horror game I've ever played.

Its crazy how you can go below 3000 meters. Thats insane. I can barely go below 200 meters without losing oxygen and freaking out

That stuff doesn't affect me at all. I just think it's cool, never understood why people find that scary.

There's a main goal that ultimately involves building a ship and escaping the planet, but it's not the "gather stuff to make other stuff" aspect that will keep you earth (sea?) bound, but rather there's actual plot reasons as to why you can't just build a launchpad and leave.
