Thinking about getting one and I would like someone who has one to tell me what they like about it and don't like.

I have no interest in Apple so their phones are out completely, and it seems like Samsung really stepped it up with the 9 phones. Reading reviews and such there isn't much different from the S9+ and the Note 9 besides the screen being 0.2 inches bigger and having the S Pen.

But my current phone is a Note 5 and I really like it, and end up using the pen more than I thought it would.

So if nobody chimes in I'll likely end up getting it anyway since it seems to be one of the last great 4G smartphones.

What are some of the things you love about it?

What are some things you don't?

the big difference besides the S pen is the battery life.

i have had my note 9 since november & i cannot kill the battery in a day. even watching videos, games, social media, etc all day i'll still end the day with like 60% left. it's unreal.

basically get the note 9 if the good battery life & S Pen are big selling features, otherwise shop by price. i manged to get my note 9 cheaper than an S9+ due to a promotion verizon had so im pretty happy with it.

as for what i love: expandable storage, battery life, nice screen, it's very fast, camera is incredible, and i actually like the UI

what I dislike: so far not much. i think the screen scratches way too easily, and sometimes i feel ridiculous with such a big phone because i often have to take it out of my pockets any time i sit down. also i use the S Pen a lot less than I thought I would, but sometimes i do find it genuinely useful.

honestly this is probably the best phone i've ever had

Thanks for that information, it helps a lot!

I haven't gotten a new Samsung since they did that Birxy or whatever thing and honestly it doesn't appeal to me. Is it easily disabled?

yes and you can download third party apps to remap the button to.

honestly i use bixby once in a while to tell me the weather while im getting dressed or w/e or to select songs on spotify (i use spotify premium so i can say "play Track X by Artist Y on Spotify" and it will play). so bixby is fine for me

I've had my Note 9 since early November and I'm in absolute love with the thing. Upgraded from an S7, so I can't tell you much in comparison to an S8 or S9 or anything. I love the storage capacity of it and the battery (as one who plays games a lot on the phone) is from heaven. Like Romulox said, I can't kill the battery in a day, and I've definitely made it work for it too lol.

Another thing I love about it and have gotten spoiled on is the S Pen. It's my first phone with one and it is *so fun.* To the point where whenever I do upgrade in the future, I don't want to go back to a phone without an S Pen lol.

Lots of good advice and opinions in this topic. Thanks guys.

@Leanaunfurled since you game on your phone I want to ask you this. I see that the Note has a water carbon cooling system, does it work pretty well when it comes to keeping the phone cool in your hands?
