Wow, that's fucking nothing in todays money especially if that predicted recession happens and especially because this dude spent 17 years away from society a very fast moving society where people are quick to anger and even quicker to reach for their cellphones for those clicks,subscribes and likes. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy goes through a severe depression.

How's he gonna get a job with 17 years incarceration on his profile? No company is gonna hire someone like that even if they were found innocent and a victim, to them, they'll probably think since this person has only known incarceration for nearly 20 years he's just as bad as real criminals now.

It does suck. But there are companies out there that hire guys in his position because they get a tax break. Not sure how mentally stable he is after all the time spent away from society but hopefully he has a good support group around him.
