I don't like watching a talking tree and two midget wander around the woods for an hour with no clear direction or intent. NibeIungsnarf 12/20/18 11:25:00 PM #42:	Rise from the Ashes is nonsensical retconning shit that goes on for about 10 hours too long and ruins both the great finale of the original game before it was tacked on and the story thread of the second game that it amateurishly tries to create a new reason for that essentially amounts to some fat zeus guy telling Edgeworth "You and I... we're the same!" Yeah, that totally is way more reasonable and narratively satisfying as a reason for Edgeworth to ~~"choose death"~~ rather than the revalations of the last case regarding his entire life for the past 10 or 15 years. Nevermind that the mechanic that RftA uses to bring the culprit to justice is in direct opposition to how the legal system in the game works in literally every single other case in the franchise (and honestly how it also works in that case when it isnt ignored cause the writers were lazy). And the backstory of the Joe Darke killings is the most insanely idiotic and convoluted things I've ever heard and the characters keep contradicting each other regarding it. Sometimes he was a serial killer, other times he was a spree killer. Sometimes there was months of pursuit other times his crimes were all committed in one day, sometimes they brought him in other times he turned himself in.
