If spamming the field and recovering a swarm of monsters after your opponent killed them all is what you want, there are plenty of cards that do that better these days. >_>

However, they keep making new Kuribohs and one of them, Linkuriboh, sees a lot of play now

Hes a Link monster who you can bring out by basically tributing any level 1 monster you have. If an opponent declares an attack you can tribute your Link kuriboh to make that monsters attack become zero. And he can be summoned back out from the grave as well.

By itself no. Even Yugi had to combine it with some magic card because it was worthless on its own.

Do you remember how fusion monsters worked in the irl game?

Link monsters (and a lot of other types these days) go in the Fusion Deck (now called the Extra Deck) and you can bring out those monsters whenever you meet their summon conditions, instead of having to hard draw them.

Link Monsters have a Link Rating between 1 and 4, which is equal to the number of monsters you have to sacrifice to bring them out. Sometimes the types of monsters need to be specific. (A Link 2 monster might need you to sacrifice 2 Earth Monsters,
For instance)

They also have arrows that point to board spaces but thats a whole other discussion lol
