Drill Sargeant Football Coach, Jeffrey Wood was asked not to attend a funeral for one of his students who killed himself earlier this month after he ignored the family's wishes and ATTENDED anyway..and he made a SHOCKING Facebook post ATTACKING them for it!!

This comes after a Priest at the funeral for 18 y/o Maison Hullibarger made desparaging remarks that he would NOT go to HEAVEN while speaking AT the funeral!!

Jeffrey showed up in detroit despite specifically being told not to as they accused him of "bullying" Maison and the other kids of the team.

It's still unclear why Maison took his own life but Jeff showed up anyway as he is also a history teacher at the school where he vented his anger on facebook and wrote "I was just asked to leave a funeral by a family member of a deceased football player. If you need someone to blame, i'm your man, i'm your fall guy. This is how society is when things go not as planned. We blame others for our own shortcomings. This tragedy is not about me or you. it's about looking in the mirror as a human being and being real and honest with yourself.".

The parents said that he had "bullied" the children on his team for years and said "We've had 4 boys who played for him. He's been bullying kids for many years"

Linda Hullibarger told a friend to make it clear he was not welcome and he showed up anyway.

She said "We knew Maison would not want him at his funeral. He did not treat Maison kindly. So it was our wish he would not be there"

Another of her sons approached him and asked him to leave and he was immediately fired from the coaching program after his shocking post was sent out.

He told the media "A lot of things go into it, of course. I need to work on me. It's much better for the school system for someone else to lead..i didn't come to this decision lightly"

The coach felt he had a right to be there because he had been Maison's coach for many years and he had a "bond" with him but others felt otherwise.

Do you think Jeffrey had a right to be there because he coached Maison?

Nope being as the family asked him to not attend. Funerals are for the living to say goodbye to whoever they have lost. Not a place for drama. This guy could have gone and said he goodbyes after the service.

Kinda? I mean, he's among the bereaved. That said, the family was paying for the venue so they have the right to kick out anybody for any reason.

Attending a funeral isn't a right. Though I don't see how it's grounds for termination either.

Unless they think he was the cause for the suicide I dont exactly see the reason for banning him from the funeral. Coaches are known to push their students and arent always the nice guy in the room but it sounds like it was just a teacher trying to pay his respects to his dead student.

1. The kid was weak and needed a mean role model.
2. The mean football coach is the good guy.
3. The parents should be charged with child abuse and negligence.
4. The faculty at that school are all degenerate numbskulls.

bullying people is crappy but if you've ever played one day of football you know that snarky remarks are the least of your worries
i've seen people get concussions, snap their finger bones, break their tail bones, break their collar bones you name it, my finger actually as extra bends in it, my toe has an ingrown nail i have to pull out every once in awhile, my nose is crooked on one side and I was probably the shittiest player who never got any playing time

If the family didn't want him there then he shouldn't have gone. A funeral is a big moment in a family's life and they should be left alone to grieve if that's what they want.
