I'm always afraid that I'm too far right in my lane, which is why I tend to stay too far to the left of my lane, which is a fact that I only now realized. How can I tell if I am centered in my lane?

I must have these answers.

Check your wing mirror to track distance between the centre line and your rear wheel then find a reference point from your windscreen for where the centre line needs to pass.

centre line

What's that? I don't think I have ever encountered lines on the center of a lane.

The dotted line dividing traffic. Stay close to that line but not so close that your mirror crosses it.

What side of the road do you drive on? I usually make sure the white line/dotted is connecting with the corner of my vehicle. For me, that's the front-left corner.

I have a Class 1 license. Keeping the trailers in your lane is harder because you have to ride the opposite side with your front end on corners.

Same side as me. Just keep the line to your left connecting with the front-left of your vehicle. Maybe even into the hood. I don't know what you drive so it's hard to say.

I mean make. It's hard to explain what I'm saying. You can also just follow the wear in the road.

I think the best way to do it is to look glance far ahead into the horizon (even beyond other cars in front of you) and imagine a line coming straight down from the sky that meets the horizon. Thats the line that determines how centered you are.

This guy on YouTube gives pretty good tips I think.

What?

You should see two darker grey lines worn into the road in each lane from use. Unless it's a new road of course. Keep your wheels in those.

Oh yeah, this might be a good idea. But I wouldnt recommend doing this if its raining because you might risk hydroplaning.
