Why not get fat? For most people life is bullshit and monotonous, nothing matters.

Its why people drink, do drugs, eat shitty food. Just to feel something for a little bit.

At one point I was like 25 to 30 pounds over weight. Had nothing to do with anything other than I was too lazy to go to the gym consistently and had a bad diet. I cleaned that up quickly though.

I'm not fat anymore, but I first became overweight in the 3rd grade. My parents weren't the best role models since they were overweight too, and I was allowed to eat whatever I wanted when I wanted. I was a picky eater, so I didn't eat very healthy either. Being depressed by the time I was in middle school didn't help as well, since eating was a comfort for me.

The only reason I'm now a healthy weight is because it's so easy to count calories with an app now. I never did it when I was younger because it would have been a gigantic pain without some electronic assistance. After I got into that habit, it wasn't that hard to lose about 2lbs a week until I was a healthy weight.
