okay, so ever since i was 18 ive been an independent adult, living on my own, making my own way.....in a sense. i had my own apartment fresh out of highschool, making rent, had food, a gaming set up, friends social life. i was installing hardwood floors amd such (very easy work as it turns out). one thing led to another, yada yada, long story short...

ive been homeless a grand total of 2.5 years of my life. 6 months here, couple months there...

i was just recently residentially challenged for a full year and a half. i hit the streets back in june or july of 2017. still had a job, still was making money, but without the aid of roomates in my financial advanced location i wasnt making enough to afford a place on my own.

back in may 2015 i started working at Donut King in Florida, the 11th best donut shop in the country, ive talked about this on here before. one guy asked oif ive made love to a hobart. anyway, i worked there for a year and a half, constantly clocking 100+ hours ona biweekly basis, making mad bank.

that year and a half has cemented me within the anals of donut king royalty. when i left after that year i went to work in a kitchen because i love actually cooking more than flipping dough and getting flash burns on my forearms. shit hit the fan at some point after that and i wound up on the streets. still in that kitchen, but without a means to bathe that didnt last very much longer.

bounced from sleeping on the patio at work, to a stairwell, to an abandoned car dealership, to an abandoned real house, to having roomates again for 2 months (at which point i went back to donut king), to having a tent set up to the nines, then that burnt down and i was straight up outdoors.

ive been in jail twice out here, for a total of 14 days, ive had an m16 to my head by swat (they found me in the bando), ive fought 3 crack heads, made many a fellow street rat friend

ive gone back to donut king. ive been there for a week now. i moved in with my fellow coworker and friend who happened to be the one to "train" me on my first day on the job. my first paycheck is 100 hours and 30 minutes, and bossman MIGHT give me half of it tomorrow instead of making me wait until the 19th

so ive gone from 1.5 years of homelessness to splitting rent in my own place, with slacve labor hours and hella OT pay.

all because i make damn good donuts

if anybody had told me in highschool that my wellbeing and quality of life would all revolve around deep friend bread i would have laughed in their face

now i make some of the best donuts in the country, provide donuts for Disney AND Universal Studios, nickelodeon, lockhead martin, etc.

(edit) i just clocked a 15 hour shift and now im drinking some bruschis, and im getting a Switch with my first check because in the last 1.5 years ive missed video games more than anything

What games are you planning to get on Switch?

Monster Hunter Generation Ultimate. ive been a hunter since 2008, and the more recent titles havent really interested me because im still low key salty about the sony-nintendo switch, but since importing p3rd in '14 i havent played, and GenUlt is the culmination of every installment to date. 92 monsters, however many maps, 14 weapon types, fuck off trying to count the armor sets and individual weapons.......3k hours easy

I don't know who is in charge of the ordering, I just know there is usually fresh donuts getting delivered in the early morning. I work overnights, so it's probably the best part of my day. I get to have a good donut before going home.
