...it's going to be, and yet it somehow seems like nobody else can see it?

Obviously this probably happens most often with games, and Fallout 76 is just the most recent example. But it also happens in other areas like sports teams or, hell, even new soda flavors. Anybody else see that disgusting Pepsi Fire crap they put out a few months ago?

It just makes no sense to me. With Fallout 76, they got to their third bullet point about the game and I already knew it was going to be trash. 1. Open world. Okay, it's Fallout, so that's to be expected. 2. Always online. Well, that's unfortunate, but does kind of seem to be the way the industry is going, so even though I don't like it that won't kill the game. 3. No NPCs. U wot m8? The entire allure of Fallout is interacting with crazy characters and seeing all the different ways you can take their mini stories. Joke game confirmed.

With Destiny 2, I was out before they'd even announced it. They showed their scummy business practices with Destiny 1 and I abandoned ship. A few of the guys I had met through the game kept playing and were so hyped for Destiny 2. They kept messaging me asking if I was coming back with the new game and I told them not only was I not, but they shouldn't waste their money on it either. They did, and every single one of them had given up on the game within a month. One of them even messaged me to say he wished he'd listened to me.

I'm not even gonna get started on sports teams' fans. I know most of them are a lost cause anyway. But I wish more people understood that you can be a fan of a team and still be able to look at the season and say "yeah, we're probably not winning many games this year." That doesn't mean you don't support the team. It just means you're not delusional.

So why does it seem so hard for tons of people to see what seems to be so fucking obvious?
