Sure Fallout 4 could be classified as a bit of a disappointment among long term fans

But 76 seems to have been one shit sandwich after another.

Heard it had/has 800,000 peak concurrent users but that just seems like a small number compared to what it might should have been pulling at peak.

Just seems like every year there's one or more disastrously large pr nightmares. More often seems like one a month nowadays

I am not surprised. In the internet age one mistake can ruin your reputation. I hope Bethesda learns from this and Starfeild is an amazing one player sci-fi RPG when it is revealed but now they have to re-earn people's trust.

They're using the same engine for starfield AND tes6

Let's be real, the only reason Bethesda gotten away with this bullshit so much was because they offered something no other game could at the time. On top if relying on the modding community to fix their buggy and broken games, they thought it was a smart idea tackle the MP scene of things when their rep with TES/Fallout have always been shaky.

This. Releasing Skyrim like 80 times. Making games with the same 10 year old engine. Games riddled with glitches and shit. And each game they made in their series got progressively worse. I remember playing fallout 4 and as soon as I beat It I had no intention of ever playing it again

There's making one mistake

And committing pr suicide by falsely marketing a product and then saying you're not gonna do anything about it

The only thing they can do now to redeem themselves is to make a Fallout 3 and New Vegas remaster with mod support on consoles like they did with Skyrim.

True. Amongst the most repeated complaints have been heavy bugs and glitches "ruining" people's experiences but ya know "GAME OF THE YEAR EVERY YEAR!" just because.

As far as TES goes, shaky amonst diehard Morrowind fans, maybe...most people loved Oblivion and Skyrim.

tbh bethesda is pretty much still the only company i can think of where it feels like there is shit going on in their worlds game all the time. pretty much every other open world game feels like things are just waiting for you to walk by them

There was a time where I thought Bethesda couldn't actually do anything to make anyone notably angry. I mean, they had been making nothing but mediocre to bad games for like a decade and everyone was perpetually riding their dick no matter what minor little rumble happened upon their releases.

I have no faith that people will continue to care all that much though. By the time ESVI is out people will be stumbling over themselves to congratulate them on making yet another shallow casualized sandbox

They should've just stuck to single-player experiences. Bethesda, known for releasing glitchy and unstable games, makes an always-online multiplayer game? I always had a small feeling it would turn out to be a disaster.
