I'd say last option is for me. I don't have anyone to play split-screen with, and my internet isn't always reliable. Besides, single-player is great fun. I often enjoy that more, anyway.

Some of them are great, no problem with them so long as good single player games still exist too.

I suppose I'm getting a copy of Smash for Christmas. But that's single-player, even if the emphasis is meant to be on multi-player.

I'd never buy one unless it was something like Destiny 2 or a mmorpg where you can solo.

Depends on the game. I've bought MMOs like World of Warcraft before. I don't like the idea of games with a singleplayer component that require you to be online. I remember EA released some game like that where you still had to be online to play singleplayer and people were super pissed.

Never have. Online multiplayer looks like a chaotic mess where people just try to kill you. Id get way too frustrated.

What about when MS said the unreleased XBox One needed to go online once a day, just to allow you to play it? I thought certain gamers on the internet were gonna torch their headquarters, when that happened. Oh yeah, and not being able to lend legally purchased games to friends. Wtf.

I generally don't even like the genres that are multiplayer, such as FPS, sports, fighting, etc.
Much less having anyone to play with.

I first was able to consistently play multiplayer games back on 2008 when I got a PS3

I havent given much of a damn about single player games or single player modes in games since.

I don't care much one way or the other. Battlefield is the only multiplayer game I play and they're still clinging on to single player. I like playing it but if it disappeared I'd be more upset by the wasted potential than it actually not being there.

Not for me. Generally the only multi-player heavy games I tend to enjoy are fighting games, but I often find myself playing the single-player content more in those anyways.
