Poll of the Day > So I've been watching sofia the first and something confuses me.

Gold and jewels are the currency of the land, but the teach small children how to create them with magic in school. But only the royal children. The peasant children don't learn any magic unless they are descended from a magic family. It is not like Royals are just naturally magical either. Sofia learns magic despite being born a commoner. Still if it is easy enough that small children can learn it and anyone can learn it, wouldn't there be at least some people who could learn it and saturate the market?

I tend to dislike most childen's shows but did actually enjoy Sofia the first myself but can't ever forget that for the most part it's just a children's show intended to sell dolls.

But yes I also am confused with how the currency works as well as the food cause in one episode you see them make an entire feast with just a spell.
Also the show says her father is a great king... Still I find it odd that he will spend all those taxes on a 100 layer cake and nobody blinks an eye.

Anyhow the show has ended and i'm 50 episodes behind.

What episode do they talk about her dad being lost at sea?

The king is fucking nuts. I suspect they have a parliament doing most of the actual ruling with how little he seems to do.

I was about 50 episodes behind, now I am 26 behind. Food is a good one too. I suppose in a place where you can create food from nothing food can be cheaper, but a 100 layer cake still seems like a bit much. Also wouldn't tke kind of destroy much of your economy if you can magic away most of your peasants jobs?

Does enchancia keep magic from the masses so they can just create wealth and distribute it to them for work like a kind of guaranteed income?
