It's do-able with the Varmint Rifle, I've done it. Use the terrain to your advantage. Once you clear that "camp" of Cazadores or otherwise dodge them it's pretty much smooth sailing to Vegas.

Shotguns with that perk that knocks enemies down is also pretty broken. You can keep anything perpetually knocked down and harmless.

Both great weapons but the katana with max attack speed kills hard

My favorite weapon is the Police Pistol. It's saved my ass so many times, that I kept it with when I went to every DLC, and finished off the bosses with it. No other weapon in the game holds a place in my heart like the Police Pistol. Even though it doesn't stack with Cowboy or The Professional, It's still a viable weapon, especially with JHP rounds

The police pistol is from dead money... god what an annoying dlc... glad I took all the gold and now I'm rich enough to buy anything

For my money, 2 will always be the best. But I have enjoyed the series up through 4. I even liked that shitty Baldur's Gate style Fallout game on PS2. I don't plan on playing 76

I felt 76 was just gonna be bad because of the hype surrounding it

76 is actually not bad. It's entirely soloable and feels like a Fallout game when you do. Lots of exploration and lore. They also brought back Weapon and Armor degradation from 3/NV along with Hunger and Thirst (which isn't really that bad).

Entirely soloable is not a meme either, I did it yesterday and launched a Nuke by myself.

its a decent squad based tactical game ala xcom

not really much of a fallout game

there's a very overt 'best' party member option set and diverting from it is inviting disaster

it's doable with a stealth boy and a good knowledge of the terrain.

It's doable with a Luck of 9 and a tire iron

Just Humans for now are lacking. Plenty of Robots with funny personalities out there. There's a Miss Nanny that thinks she's a Raider in one location and you do some quests for her.

I don't think the "no human NPC's" will last, they'll have to eventually to keep the story fresh. There's an in-game lore reason for none at the moment and it makes sense but it won't last.
