Astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson has denied allegations of sexual misconduct made against him by three women.

Accusations can damage a reputation and a marriage. Sometimes irreversibly. I see myself as loving husband and as a public servant -- a scientist and educator who serves at the will of the public.

Watson told Patheos that she felt pressured to impress her boss and accepted an invitation from Tyson to his place. There, the scientist spoke about people needing human physical releases and gave her an "awkward and incredibly intimate handshake."

Tyson said their only physical interaction was a handshake he said he learned from a Native elder that he considered special, he wrote.
"You extend your thumb forward during the handshake to feel the other person's vital spirit energy -- the pulse," he wrote.

Nope, its never going to stop. Men want to have sex with women. Thats a biological directive. "Sexual misconduct" can mean anything from rape to merely being forward and flirtatious, the latter which vilifies normal behavior. It's a nebulous bullshit term. It's okay for a guy to be forward and it's okay for the woman to decline (or accept) and both of them have a responsibility to be mature about that situation... since they're adults, not children.

No. If it were just the methods, that would be an easier problem to fix and everyone would instantly know the difference between creep and not-a-creep behavior. Right now, harassment is anything you dont like. Uncomfortable is literally anything you do are not comfortable with. The range of what constitutes either can differ massively from person to person.

Let me emphasize that I do not know what deGrasse Tyson has done or not done. He very well could have committed a crime that he deserves legal punishment for. I vaguely recall a woman accusing him of rape or something criminal years ago. Investigate and take it from there.
