On the [women] in Battlefield, this is something that the development team pushed. Battlefield V is a lot about the unseen, the untold, the unplayed. The common perception is that there were no women in World War II. There were a ton of women who both fought in World War II and partook in the war.

These are people who are uneducatedthey dont understand that this is a plausible scenario, and listen: this is a game. And today gaming is gender-diverse, like it hasnt been before. There are a lot of female people who want to play, and male players who want to play as a badass [woman].

And we dont take any flak. We stand up for the cause, because I think those people who dont understand it, well, you have two choices: either accept it or dont buy the game. Im fine with either or. Its just not ok.

Yea I canceled my preorder for this game after the beta and I'm glad I did. I bet it's a good game but I'm waiting for the full release and I'll buy it on sale. I got other games to play in the meantime

Battlefield is a long-standing brand. Its customers have certain expectations for it, as they rightly should.

The backlash against far-left pandering is known in the industry far and wide. DICE thought they could get away with it, in order to get a Metacritic bonus.

The progressive game journalists can fall all over themselves singing this games praises, but the bottom line is that gamers arent buying it.

The Battlefield series up until this game was AAA and rivaled Call of Duty. This is what happens when you cater to people who dont buy your games.

Exactly... I was hyped to go back to World War 2.

But DICE made it perfectly clear that this game wasnt for me, and that I shouldnt buy it.

With all of the other games coming out this time of year, that wasnt an issue.
