I've played in a bunch of online big brother and survivor games on various boards here. I generally do pretty well. One of them started off with 100 people and I ended up winning it. MorningRose was in it too, but her team imploded at one point, though she outlasted most of her teammates iirc. Caelthus, Choco and ROBANN_88 were in it too. Caelthus was another casualty on MorningRose's team. Choco and Rob both did well, making it to the final merge where the rules changed from survivor to BB. They finished 11th and 4th. It was hosted on CE so there were others here who were in it. Ex-Kefiroth, averagejoel, sktgamer, to name a few.

I'd be game to be on real Big Brother, but my experience on CE's equivalent (of sorts, at least) several years ago, it was really miserable, x.x

I could have lasted longer, but I was so tired of it that I quit so that another member of the team (WickedMystic) could go on a little more. He was more interested in it than I was.

I remember you mentioning sacrificing yourself to help a friend. Mystic actually was voted back in and made it to the final merge. He finished 15th. That was actually a crucial vote for me. I was sorting out who I wanted to work with, as I was aligned with Appleframer, but I was also aligned with Choco and Robann. Apple wasn't a fan of theirs and also had an alliance with Mayonesa and FinalLegendZero. However, they wanted to keep Mystic in the game and Apple wanted to keep Incepti0n in the game and expected Mayo and FLZ to vote with us, which they did not. It forced a tie. AndShock, who was aligned with Apple and me, broke the tie and evicted Mystic. Apple had puppet mastered the entire game to that point, and this was the first vote that didn't go as he planned, so he was a bit rattled and turned on Mayo/FLZ, who I never would have really trusted as I had never been on their team, whereas Apple had aligned with them immediately. This led to a power shift and me choosing Apple as my ride or die. I took him to the end and won by 1 vote.

It's funny too because Mayo ended up being a real thorn in my side, and it took us until the final 5 to finally get him out, and it was only because he made a mistake in the veto competition... but then he ended up co-hosting the 2nd season with me and was a very helpful and accommodating co-host. He made a few mistakes, but I was glad because I did too and it with so many players and constant complaints about one thing or another, it was good that we were on the same level for host solidarity. He was better at hosting than I was but not by such a margin that I felt inadequate by comparison.

The experience seems surreal in retrospect. A million things had to fall perfectly into place for me to win, and they did, from random circumstances to applications of strategies I had learned from previous experiences to just general insights and playing scenarios in my head.

I couldn't win again though, at least not within the same community. I have too big of a reputation even when I downplay myself. I finished 3rd in back to back BB seasons, in both cases because both other final 3 members knew I would be tougher to beat, and I was voted out in TES4 in 9th, backstabbed by some of my own allies in conjunction with the remaining members of the opposition. My mistake was taking out the biggest threat of the other alliance, DreamwaIker, giving the eventual final 2 an opportunity to cut me out because one of them (who eventually won) knew me very well and knew he had to get rid of me before I had the chance to get rid of him, which to his credit, I did intend to do >_>. It was a predicament though, because Dream had blown up my plans and had really gone full villain, and I had been working with him in the past but had been playing both sides, so he wasn't wrong for doing so. Basically, I played the fence until I was forced to pick a side. I picked the winning side, but got thrown under the bus in the process. I knew how to handle that and played into it rather than against it because it had worked more than once in the past, but ultimately, uniting the group against a common foe and vanquishing that foe made me the next biggest threat to the two people in a position to flip a vote.
