Is there any benefit to specifically hanging out with only Bea or Gregg ever or is it okay to alternate?

I don't want specifics, I just want to know if hanging out with them alternately is not a good plan or if it's not particularly impactful, I can't really tell if I would be missing out or not

(btw probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make in my life)

There is no benefit to alternating.

You want to pick one and stick with it, and then do the opposite on your second playthrough.

Hi, resident Night in the Woods expert here. Sorry I'm late to this, but welcome and I'm very glad you're getting around to playing!

Definitely stick to one. You'll never get all the hangouts on 1 playthrough, so if you end up doing a 2nd to see how the other stuff turns out (and it also slightly alters the ending depending on who you hung out with more), it's easier to remember to just do all the other person's hangouts in one go instead of thinking "shit who did I hang out with this day my first time"
