So my question is: are any of the older Disney movies censored in their latest iterations? I know there are some pretty racist parts of Dumbo, Pete Pan, etc., but I think it's important to have the original film as is in order to give context to when these were made. If they have been cut recently, what is the most recent iteration that has the original theatrical version? It's due out on Blu Ray in the coming weeks and will almost certainly be censored once again. You won't find a release with that character included. There is no cut, instead in pans/zooms on something else in those frames. As far as I know, Dumbo and Peter Pan have never been censored. Of course there is Song of the South which is impossible to find legally with the exception of a PAL VHS release from the early 80s. Theyre launching their own Netflix competitor streaming service next year where all their shit will be exclusive, and THE DISNEY VAULT is presumably a big part of that along with Marvel and Star Wars exclusivity.
