Epic as in the story built them up and you finally get there to settle everything in a showdown for the ages

Or epic as in the fight itself was definitely one of the most amazing experiences in the entire game?

For the former, Final Fantasy VI spoilers Kefka. Oh gosh, they did a good job building up to that final confrontation.

For the latter, Tales of Vesperia spoilers Duke third form. Such a challenging fight unless you overleveled by a bunch. Plus the music really stands out.
