Being a cord cutter for years makes me really jaded towards commercials. Even though that price is a steal I would be reluctant to pay for it.

Last time I had Hulu it would let me bypass the commercials on the app on my TV.

When a commercial would start up I would just stop what I was watching and then hit play again and it would bypass the commercials. Probably only works with certain Hulu apps.

Absolutely, Hulu has improved immensely in terms of selection.

Their movies never have ads in the middle either, usually just one long one at the start.

Most of their kids cartoon shows are the same way.

For me it wasnt the ad break length that was the problem, it was the amount of ads they show. Hulu only runs like 2-4 ads at once, so if youre binging something you see the same ads over and over and over. Not sure if its changed since I moved to the commercial free plan or not

New and eligible returning customers only. And I believe eligible returning customers are ones that haven't had an active Hulu membership in over a year or so (could be wrong about that though).

Yes Hulu is worth it for the content alone.

The ads are not even bad. One before a 30-minute show and two during. Each ad-break being maybe 1.5 minutes each.

It is better than Netflix and at that price, it is amazing.

Even if you're out of school, you can still try it. I've heard of the verification still working even if you've graduated.

It means there are going to be commercials.

Hulu has a superior catalogue compared to Netflix. However, you do need to pay up a little more to avoid the ads. When I originally signed up for Hulu it was to watch all 250+ episodes of Adventure Time, then I moved onto all 100+ episodes of Bob's Burgers, then100+ of Regular Show ect. I can't imagine how much of my life would have been wasted watching the same ads. Point is, even paying the premium to remove ads, it is still worth it. Their weeaboo section even rivals dedicated services like Crunchyroll and had simulcasts for every popular anime each season.

I guess it's just what you're willing to tolerate when it comes to the ads. Personally, Hulu ads have never really bothered me all that much.

What does annoy me is they only stream 720p and they don't have surround sound.

Yeah, the only time ads get annoying is on my PS4 when they do 90 seconds of ads every so often...my Roku only does 15 or no ads at all and idk why, it's a first gen roku

So it turns out if you have an ad blocker installed it won't play the ads. Instead it just shows this screen for however long the ad would have been.
