Probably the newest game I plan on playing on it is Fallout 4 w/ mods. Beyond that haven't been too many pc games that are ultra demanding that I would want to play. Already have a lot of console games to catch up on.

I already have an Asus laptop so. I'll mostly (80+% of the time) use it for Chrome and Firefox and that's about it.

Should I just wait for Cyber Monday? Interested in this cause they should have one in store.

But this one has a 512 GB ssd but the onscreen specs say 256 GB?

Dell make good computers.

But that one has a GTX 1050 and not a 1060, the performance might make a difference there.

And an in store associate said the nex website is unreliable and not trust those specs.

I would say it's a good deal, yes. But I also have constantly had a terrible track record with laptops for as long as I've been alive so you might be asking the wrong person here. The most recent one I bought is an ASUS that actually has held up rather well, so I would recommend that brand.

It's handy to have. You can charge your laptop through it or use it for external displays, plus most mobile have switched to it so easy and convenient to hookup mobile devices.
