Current Events > I just called the cops because some guy was taking pictures of my house

A). He clearly only targeted my house and my car is garaged, so it looks like nobody is home

B). He used a regular camera to take these photos, not his phone

C). the guy did not look professional whatsoever

D). I was able to get his tag information, but I did not go outside to confront him

E). Cops said they cannot do anything because a crime was not committed, but logged his info.

Homes that are rented can still be in a neighborhood with an HOA.

They only took a picture of my house and my neighborhood is not anything fancy. There's way more worse looking houses on my street for the HOA to be concerned about.

About 10 or so years ago I was doing a degree in urban planning and we had to do a presentation on the urban development of a particular neighborhood.

So I went with my teammates and we were taking pictures of the street.

As we were just ready to leave a police car came and they started to question us. Apparently the owner of a garage called them to say we were taking pictures of his garage. Like what the fuck.

We live in a new house, newer neighborhood. There was a black car parked outside my driveway twice this past summer and I went outside into my driveway and he drove off both times. I found out later it was a realtor but that shit set off major paranoia

Lol why would someone use a dslr camera over a phone camera for pleplanning a robbery. Unless he was fat away and using a magnified lens a cellphone is inconspicuous

Just looked up my house address and it is not listed for sale and my house is also owned by one of those huge Wall Street renting companies, so idk how it could be anything Real estate related. In addition, it's Thanksgiving too, so why would they be running people out at this time.
