-Pokemon on the map. Random encounters suck and this is the future. There's nothing more fun than making your way carefully around Geodude and Zubats and then seeing a Kangaskhan and being like "Oh shit son"
-Pokemon following you. They have little personalities and it's fun and awesome. It's fun seeing little Oddish lag behind me and occasionally "!" and run its little heart out to keep up, then go to seeing Beedrill flying in front of you leading the way like an angry badass, and then go to seeing Graveler just tuck and roll on behind you as if he has given 0 fucks in his life
-Riding Pokemon is actually fun and doesn't just feel like a barely used mechanic
-Portable box. Being able to access your box and switch out Pokemon on the fly is so good and I will fight anybody over this forever
-HMs aren't a thing and stuff like Cut and Flash and crap are things you just... Do, now. I feel like this may already be a thing but I can't remember.

I REALLY want an option to turn randoms on and off I understand the maps are better but I want to nuzlocke dammit, plus it doesn't seem like it would be hard to do

I mean you can still nuzlocke since it's not like a ton of Pokemon instantly pop up. There's usually a clear "first" that you'll see

-Pokemon are more to scale. You'll be cruising along through Rock Tunnel avoiding said Geodudes and Zubats and suddenly BAM huge ass Onix in your face. And then if you use that Onix to fight Joey's Rattata it makes Joey look like a total dweeb because your gigantic ass rock snake is so much bigger than his dumb rat

I Nuzlocked all the way to Gym Leader rematches (realistically the last point you can Nuzlocke without grinding Pokmon to level 100, or grinding candy for MTs)

Well, being fair, there are things about it that are negatives and cause people to be very vocal about them.

-It's a very true-to-original Yellow remake, meaning things that came from after Yellow are few and far in between. People that wanted more than that are loud about it.
-The Go style catching is fun, but replaces wild battles. People that don't like that are very loud about it.
-It's easy to make the game a bit too easy (though you can avoid that with effort). People that don't like that are super loud about it.

And then on top of that, people are worried that those things will leak over into the next Pokemon game, so they get even louder.

It can be, but there are pretty simple ways to make it more difficult on yourself.

1. The starter is overpowered and has ridiculous moves. But you can box your starter, or atleast avoid those moves.
2. The game encourages catching everything you see, but that's how you get a majority of your EXP. You can cancel that out a bit by not going crazy catching things, though. Example: I really only catch unique Pokemon, so I haven't grinded much at all, and I'm struggling a little bit to get through Rock Tunnel, which is about where the difficulty starts to lift a bit.
3. Candies are a super easy way to raise stats. But you can just... not use them.

It CAN be Babby's First Pokemon, but there are ways to avoid it and make it not any easier than other Pokemon games.

I lost 13 Pokmon including the starter, Zapdos and Articuno gift Charmandeer, and gift Squirtle and gift Lapras and Wild battle Snorlax on the way to Nuzlocke glory....

Is it hard, no, candies and X items can make it a joke.

If you dont use those however... there can be some challenge if you arent grinding.

I agree with all of these points. All of these should be kept for future Pokemon games for sure.

Though they should definitely make even more Pokemon ride-able. The current list for the ones you can ride is too small for my liking.

could also easily implement an option to just make them invisible, and have a circular shadow to locate them so they don't have to programme for both.

I can agree with this with a few tweaks.

I'd make wild Pokemon battles a thing again. They can appear on the map but battles need to be back in. Catching Pokemon via Go mechanics isn't very rewarding at all and feels boring. It also makes status moves quite unnecessary. On top of that, trainer battles are so easy and reward so little exp compared to catching that they feel pointless. Bring back wild battles and tweak the difficulty and exp gain, especially for catching.

PC access anywhere is nice but it needs to be PC boxes and not one big messy area. Near impossible to sort things the way I'd like to.

Other that that there's a lot to bring forward and meld into the traditional mainline games.

Probably because in Pokemon you battle so much you tend to either ignore the animations or just flat out turn them off if able, anyway, so people got over it pretty quickly.

For the non-snarky answer, it just seems hypocritical to me that you'd say they should move forward with the Pokmon following you and cosmetics as a fun presentation thing, but when it comes to the actual important presentation in the action you just say "screw that who cares".

Completely ignoring Stadium, I think the battle presentation here is embarrassing for a game from ANY company putting out a modern release, much less Nintendo. It looks lame enough that one could easily watch and assume some of the move animations were just broken.

Different priorities for some people I guess.

It just feels unusual to me that for how much bank these games make they're not really developed like a AAA title. We can have horses that crap realistically in Red Dead Redemption 2 but can't have Blastoise actually shoot water out of his water cannons when it attacks. How big is the department of people responsible for animations at Game Freak? I'd say there's room to expand.
