Please no speedos, briefs, or inappropriate attire. This is a comedic division, but please keep it family friendly. Contestant will model their drumsticks at 3 different spots marked on stage. (Winner MUST ride in the Turkey Trot Parade in shorts, to show off your Drumsticks.) Ms. Drumsticks - Contestant must compete in a one piece, full coverage swimsuit. Please no monokinins, cutouts, or thongs. Contestant must wear nude or clear HIGH HEELS. This division is for any woman over the age of 16 who is single, married, divorced, etc. (no restrictions). There will be 3 spots marked on a horizontal stage where the contestant may model as she wishes. Ms. Drumsticks receives a crown, trophy, sash and $100 cash. At the bandstand, a judge announces the winner of the Miss Drumsticks contest, who gleams and sparkles in her pageant finery. Its Miss Drumsticks because theyre judging who has the best thighs, an older woman explained to me, matter-of-fact. Butand this is unusual, and much to the dismay and consternation of many localsthere are no live turkeys. None in a cage towed behind a pickup. None thrown from the courthouse roof. None pitched off the bandstand and picked up by screaming teenagers. And none dropped out of an airplane.
