5" to 5.5" would be great, but it seems like the only ones that size are very low in price aka junk.

There are mid ranges with that size

Mines a 5.9" I was using my mom's 5" yesterday and I can't tell you how much of a downgrade it felt

Well I do go to college which means most of the time I am outside, I have a backpack of some kind

If I don't, I put it in my back pants pocket in summer or my inside jacket pocket in winter

Let's be honest here, once you go above a certain size, it doesn't make a huge difference in unwieldyness. A 5.5 is as difficult to lug around as a 6

I'd love a small phone whose screen covers the whole front of the phone at 5 inches or even less. Instead my phone has 5.8 inches and you can't swipe the menu down from the top of the screen without adjusting your grip or using your second hand.

My old iphone 5 was the perfect size, please make a modern phone at that size, but with the screen taking the full front. A smaller screen also takes less battery power.
