But it released at least 6 months too early, as it still has significant bug and balance issues even now, 8 months post-release. The tail fell way too fast, and it has a fraction of the playerbase that it had around launch. To their credit, the devs are trying to fix it, but I think we're at a point where it is too little, too late. Its a shame too, because the core gameplay loop is super satisfying, when it works right. Even so, due to its higher retail price, Fallout 76 was actually the game that generated the most revenue at UK retail last week.
