Im talking about countries like Poland and Hungary whose leaders wanna become dictators but the rest of the EU wont let them so they bark loudly to try and hide the fact that their nations would be poor underdeveloped shitholes on the brink of collapse if it werent for the annual welfare payments the EU gives them.

We Nordic countries and Western Europe should simply cut them off if they are gonna keep acting like teenagers who throw temper tantrums while still expecting their parents to pay for everything.

The EU should remove these poor members who need to find their bootstraps and be reformed into a less centralised union focused on trade, defense, environment and keeping out economic migrants.

Poland and Hungary need the trade and security that comes with being part of the EU. They just hate everything else that goes with it. Couple that with the fact they are still adapting to democratic process and that the winner takes all strongman attitude to leadership still exists and you get a turbulent relationship on a political level. On a people level though they are very much overwhelmingly pro EU as their citizens feel the benefits of aforementioned trade and security and also have somewhat of a fascination with the west after being locked out of it for half a century.
