Ronda is a complete oddity that I have a tough time wrapping my head around. She can be a great promo at times, but at other times she really can't overcome the material she's being handed, and I have such a tough time believing that Ronda Rousey is saying what Ronda Rousey is saying. Maybe some of that is due to my preconceived notions of her from UFC. Maybe some of that is due to the jarring emotional flips she goes through from time to time in terms of being doe-eyed and thankful to the audience for "just being nominated", Sally Fields style, to being a focused, aggressive, brutal and single-minded competitor.

Maybe it's in the switch between those two modes that I have trouble with her character from time to time. But simultaneously, I have much more interest in Ronda than, honestly, anyone else on RAW.

yeah - her promos just don't feel like the usual meaningless nonsense we get in recent years. i believe she's writing some of her stuff, she really is an odd character and i can imagine she decided on some of the content in that questionable promo this week. and honestly, i do think she'll make a better heel because her best side is her vicious side.

I feel like if she stuck to her vicious side, it would work well as both a face role and a heel role. Vince tried to push a focused, vicious Roman at one point, but I think Ronda would actually pull it off better because face and heel only matters to a character based on their motivation and their opponent, especially with that type of role.

We must be watching different shows (or in my case, clips). Her last few promos have sounded really wooden. She isnt anywhere close to Beckys level on the mic. Hell, based on what I heard recently Id still put her in the middle of the division at best as far as mic skills go.

From what Ive heard Heyman has been working with her and helping with her promos and stuff, so thats probably part of it.

I actually became marginally interested in Miz last week when there was some real character work (hamfisted but still) between him and D-Bry as co-captains. But with the turn, I probably am getting more of the same sort of generic Miz promos that I feel like I suffer through constantly.

Wrestlers are reportedly upset that Lesnar is bulletproof. Its believed the heat on Lesnar is from the wrestlers while the heat on Jax is from the officials and agents.

To be fair, Orton killed the Singhs on multiple occasions and his only punishment was jobbing to Jinder Mahal.

It was extremely confusing when Bryan mentioned the weird lines Ronda gave and Meltzer said that those ones are actually Ronda's and this is the sort of way she talks.

I dont think shes one of the best promos on the show, not even close. When about half of her promos are actually cringeworthy (not on content, just in delivery), she isnt that good. Shes working with Heyman, and its not like shes being given shit content to work with and try to make into something. Theyre doing everything they can to make her succeed.

How many times have you watched a promo from the Miz, Becky, Alexa, Owens, Heyman, etc, and actually thought wow, that delivery was terrible. Some people are naturals on the mic, some need time to develop, and some are never good. Ronda isnt in the first group, but I think shell be good someday. I dont think shell ever be in the best promos on the show category though, at least by my standards (I tend to rate people who dont sound scripted and can act in a believable manner higher than those who I feel cant deliver a line with the right inflection or emotional tone).

As far as her in ring work goes, I think shes been great, and has a ton of natural talent there. Far better than I had imagined shed be. Whether or not that holds up when he matches stop being so scripted is another thing, but based on what Ive seen I dont think shes going to have any issues there.

As far as Lesnar being bulletproof, I think the rest of the talent has every right to be pissed. The guy doesnt do much and has shown that he really doesnt care, yet he keeps getting booked better than anyone else because of his drawing power.

Nia should have heat on her from everybody, its not like there isnt a pattern of her being unsafe or anything.
