I had put off playing this game for years (I think I bought the disc back in 2012) but I finally started it a month or so ago and am happy that I did. It's a pretty good game. The platinum was reasonable, too.

I remember at the time it came out there were lots of comparisons between this game and Prototype. After playing both, I think Infamous is better, but not by a whole lot. Both games have different strengths and both have good ideas that were carried forward into more modern open world games. Infamous has aged much much better in terms of gameplay.

I was initially disappointed at the lack of fast travel, but the game world is small enough that there are only a few points where that hindered my experience. Sucker Punch used the limited scope to pack in much more detail than you would expect to see back in 2009. The game world is crammed with side missions and collectables, and although they did not make collecting everything as easy as they should have, for the time the radar ability on L3 was very neat.

I did my first normal playthrough infamous, then did hero on hard. Neither was overly difficult, but I died my fair share of times. The story was fine, but the time travel twist was a little cliche. It's also a bit of a let down that many of the moral choices result in the same outcome, but since you can go between good and evil at any time, they probably could not allow for many story permutations. The infamous ending was a little weird because I felt like Cole was more of a dick than an outright monster. Suddenly he's pure evil.

I am guessing that some of the loose story threads will be addressed in the sequel? I might start that up soon because I had a very good time with the first game. It will be neat to see how the gameplay and presentation evolves.

How did you all like this game? I know a lot of people here have played it.

Fun game, but the moral choice involving Trish and the hostages still makes me angry to this day for not only having the same outcome either way, but actually breaking the rules of its own storytelling to do it.

2 handles its good/evil stuff much better for the most part, especially the endings, but the gameplay is not quite as tight and the pacing is more lopsided

What is this, some kind of joke?!

*five

Festival Of Blood and First Light are both games, and oddly enough the best two.
