The photo's circulation led to people to identify him and it was revealed he was a former police officer and a registered NURSE who works at Regional One Health Hospital Police said he did not break any laws..however that didn't protect his job either as he's been FIRED!! Regional One Health said they were actively investigating the allegation and understand the intense feelings around it and by Thursday, he was given the big boot. They terminated his employment as they carry a high standard with their employees and committed to upholding their mission to provide compassionate care and exceptional services. Prior to being a nurse, he was a memphis police officer and he resigned from that job because he was caught with alcohol with a 17 y/o GIRL. Police say he did not break any laws by wearing the shirt to the polls and mississippi law only prevents people from wearing campaign material of people on the ballot whent hey go to vote. Had he worn a Trump shirt it would have been illegal. Would you trust this man with a job knowing he believes in this?? Okay, that shirt is a lot worse than I thought it would be. A shirt with a simple Confederate flag on it wouldnt be cause for alarm but that is clearly inflammatory. He deserved to be sacked for being stupid enough to wear something that charged and getting recognized while doing it.

I would say simply wearing a shirt with the Confederate Flag on it shouldn't warrant one being fired as, despite personally thinking it's a not good thing to be associated with, I understand it is a more complex part of Southern culture beyond "the South will rise again" and pro-slavery beliefs.

I'm with you all about him being a pos, but something else caught my eye in the story. It's illegal to wear clothing that supports a candidate? Why? This seems very strange to me. Also, the police said if he wore a Trump shirt it would've been illegal, but Trump wasn't a candidate Tuesday, so that was a weird thing to say.
