So Ark surival evolved is on sale for $20 and it's a free week (end ish...I mean next 4 days). So I'mma gonna try it...get my dinos on.....and if I like it.....swooop....$20 is nothing.

Hope it is fun...but it's gonna put a hold on my 7 days run through for now (can't play em both).

Dino's Vs Zombies!! They should do a crossover (or zombie Dinos for the serious win!!).

Oh, zombie Dino in Dresdin universe already!!

It's not bad for a survival game, but they keep working on expansions and give few fucks about bug fixing or that it runs like chunky butt spread.

unless you have several people that you can trust it's impossible to make progress on a pvp server.

on pve you still need people, but land will be taken everywhere (with lots of it not even being used). if people don't like you, or are just assholes (every server has at least one) then they can kite dinos to your base and run away.

it's a major time sink. on regular servers it can take hours to tame dino's even with the best possible taming food... (and hours is being generous)

the best option is finding a private server with enforced rules.

This, luckily enough a friend of a friend set up a server so we could play ourselves with edited settings, some people would say it's a bad way to play the game but we still had tons of fun.

and before you decide to buy you should open a sp game and mess around with cheats to see what later game can be like. (you can even spawn dlc items)

Yeah I had it on my wishlist but read about that shit so removed it.

Not impressed at all so far compared to 7 days to die....it's not even close to as good. Only thing I have felt playing it at this point.....is a desire to go play 7 days instead.

Gonna try playing it a bit more before the free 4 days is up, but yeah, don't think it's for me at all.

Won't be nearly as fun if you cant play with friends on a server with edited values. The vanilla game would be torture, all by your lonesome. But with friends and edits, you might play the game for 600 hours...like me!

Btw, I don't care if your a cave man etc, you wouldn't just randomly poop while walking around lol. I mean seriously........you can build guns and techno buildings but you start off just randomly pooping while walking around?

I really enjoyed it with my friend when I was still new at the game and we were building our base from the ground up. After establishing ourselves it got a bit boring to do regular farming runs for the various resources to maintain said base. With Extinction officially out, maybe I'll considering starting again.
