In the original, you can avoid most deaths. ;) Out of the 120 levels, there's 17 that are outright impossible to save every lemming, and a few more (three at most, not sure exactly) that require heavy glitch abuse to save everyone. In Oh No! More Lemmings!, 18 of the 100 levels are impossible to save every lemming on (and probably a significant number of others require glitches, due to ONML being much harder overall).

Of particular interest, Cascade, the level that's notable for the fact that 90% of the lemmings would usually die, is actually possible to save every lemming without any glitches whatsoever.

The Secret World.

There's a mission in Kingsmouth where you're investigating the disappearance or murder of these girls from years ago. You go to the town hall and look at the records from that time period and find a newspaper clipping about killings from that time period and the arrest of the suspect. Based on that you're supposed to go to the police station where you do some digging on their computer and find that the suspect killed himself in the jail cell.

So you have to kill yourself, enter the jail cell and there's a hint on the wall that you have to use to solve a puzzle after following a raven that's now perched in front of the police department.

After you solve that puzzle you follow the raven and it leads you to Jack O'Lantern which is basically a creepy ass pumpkinhead

Though I guess that's technically a side mission.

Technically you also die during the boss fight in Egypt against Akhenaten, but only temporarily.

edit: actually you die a fair amount in that game >_>

Then it gets really fucked up

When you find out that the two of them (Your former friend and wife) are related and the whole thing was so they could have her give birth to some god thing, lol
