How on Earth are they still fighting Zombies? How are they not all dead? What kind of ecosystem is it where the prey can kill off 1000 of the predators and there still be a threatening number of predators left? The original zombies should have all starved by now, so they can't just overtake them with the initial "huge collapse of humanity". Why does there always have to be this fake drama around the group that loses 50 coin flips in a row? Give me a break as the viewer and let me see the protagonists I rooted for the whole time be happy and rebuild.

The conflict doesn't make any sense.

It depends no the lore, but in most cases zombies do not ever starve, they can break down, it's easier to smash their skulls etc, and over time they can lose parts etc.

In WD world the zombies have not changed much honestly since the start. In any kind of reality, corpses with no circulatory system or way to regenerate cells would start to break down fairly quickly.

Muscles are still needed for zombies to work when magic is not around, but....muscles would not keep working long term. Skeletons make no sense at all obviously in a scientific world (you need muscles to make the bones move).

So it's already kinda walking a thin line when you deal with zombies, but don't involve magic. You could.....kind of....explain zombies moving around etc for a few months or maybe...maybe even a year, especially if they were technically alive still, just infected.

Years later? Nope, all zombies would pretty much be mush, and the brains (which seem to be their weak spot) would naturally decompose/break down...auto killing them. A zombie apocalypse in WD world would mostly end within a year, with only stragglers from people who died more recently (a very, very small number of them).

They should make a show with the dawn of the dead zombies. TWD zombies are just so damn laughably slow, its just comes off as boring and dumb.

Not only am I perpetually baffled as to how flies and maggots alone (not counting other scavengers) hadn't solved the zombie problem in like 2 weeks after the outbreak, but who the hell has been going around mowing all the lawns?

There would have to be thousands upon thousands of them, all far better at avoiding being turned than literally any character in the show. Is this the secret society we all feared prior to the outbreak? We thought they were Freemasons or Illuminati this whole time, but it turned out that they were just landscapers?

Yeah. I mean, to be fair, the people in the show are pretty bad at surviving. Or it at least seems that way. And they have terrible luck usually...

I mean, I get it when people are killing people, but ignoring that the herds of shambling undead should have been reduced to inanimate piles of bones within a fortnight, the survivors continually keep putting themselves in bad tactical situations.

It's like my problem with the Jaws movies, you know where there are zero shark attacks? Kansas. Nebraska. Wyoming. You know where you are pretty unlikely to encounter a herd of shambling undead? Coastal islands. islands in lakes, rivers, and deltas. Islands just off shore of coastal regions.

I've grown to hate zombies as a plot device because unless we're looking at the rare 28 days or I am Legend type smart and fast zombies, humans have to be stupider than mindless hordes to create drama.

While I stopped watching the show a couple of seasons ago, the zombies haven't been a real threat for a while. Most of the people left have gotten pretty good at killing them, it's the other groups of survivors who are the real danger.

In the show they're not supernatural, they're organisms that need food, so they starve.

It irks me enough already that some virus can lifehack the human body into having superhuman durability, but they can eventually starve.

"Killed" by a horse

He didn't die. He fell off the horse and was impaled by some rebar, but he pulled himself free. In the end he was spirited away in a helicopter by Jadis and she told Rick he was going to live.

Edit: Apparently there is an upcoming film trilogy spin-off that's centered on the character Rick Grimes, so that could explain the weird send off.

When has it been shown that they need food to survive? I've never seen or heard of walkers starving to death in TWD universe. There is very little known about the virus other than that everyone is already infected and it reanimates corpses.
