Thank god I beat it a few days ago, holy shit some of these dudes have no shame.

Be careful if you looked up anything on Youtube for RDR2 cause I just looked up a few serial killer things and now the algorithm decided I need to see every single RDR2 video that's up apparently.

I fucking hate it when YouTubers do this. They can't just use a general screenshot for the thumbnail. No. They have to put important plot beats and shit instead. Fucking dumb.

Like, it's not even the thumbnail, they flat out are saying stuff in the titles.

It's sooooo dumb.

What? Something like: HOLY SHIT! R.I.P. [Blank] Woah!

Because that would be cancerous.

Maybe don't watch RDR2 videos until you beat the game yourself?

I just can't believe that people are still surprised/shocked/upset when they run across spoilers on social media. Like really? Social media is where the spoilers are. Stay away from it if you don't want to be spoiled.

Sometimes it's not a choice. Youtube suggest videos based on your interest and more often than not that's where people get spoiled with their shitty titles.

Just stay off the internet until you beat the game that is what I always do. I have never been spoiled for any video game ever. After I beat RDR 2. I went to youtube and the first thing I saw a major spoiler in a suggestion video because I watched a couple gameplay videos before it came out it had no effect.

Exactly. I had The Force Awakens and Infinity War spoiled for me just by scrolling down Instagram.

I managed to avoid RDR2 spoilers for a week after release (aside from a few extremely minor things like "you can run into a KKK meeting" that I never ran into, or "a glitch for infinite gold exists" which I didn't find out what the actual glitch was). That gave me enough time to complete the game.

It doesn't happen to me personally, because I know better. But it's a thing people do, and it's very much annoying.

Can't go to youtube and rewatch a scene from a show/movie/game you like. Can't Google search a character. Can't look at any fan wikis to maybe catch something you missed about a plot point or character. You can't do anything really.

Funny enough, I haven't seen a single spoiler on Facebook or Twiter yet.

And I specifically said it didn't spoil me, but it's just really shitty that people are doing it.

Also, the idea of staying off the thing most people use for help with a game until you beat the game seems a little counter productive.

How screwed up does your mindset need to be to blame the person getting spoiled instead of the person doing the spoiling in the first place?

Because the world shouldn't have to walk on eggshells to talk about something until you catch up.

Have you ever thought Youtubers title things they way they do as a reference point? 2 or 3 years from now, you might watch to watch someone's reaction to said event, and instead of searching though which video it could possibly be it, you'll instantly know because of the title. It's also helpful because different Youtubers go though the game at different speeds. The event in someone's part 18 might be someone else's part 25.

Social media is full of spoilers about everything, and I already explained how one can avoid them, but if you want to be wreckless about it, then I have no sympathies.

It appears in your recommended and homescreen when your browsing YouTube. I've seen spoiler titles for movies and a whole lotta other things from just browsing.

Here's an idea. This coming election, call your local candidates and ask which one will create the harshest penalty for spoilers without warning. Vote based on that, and that alone.

Problem will soon solve itself.

playing through an enormous open world game within the first couple of days is like going to a restaurant and just slamming down your food as fast as possible without taking the time to savor it

these kind of games usually lasted me a month or more, but now that i get like three hours a week to play video games it kinda sucks that there are just spoilers all over the place because of the widespread "fuck you got mine" mentality

Yeah seriously it's toxic

It's with this with everything these days. Like for example I'm a huge Marvel nerd and I'm always watching videos on that shit so it recommends MCU shit to me all the time and I'm always blown away how obnoxious people are with posting blatant spoilers in the titles of those videos, and so quickly after the movies come out too. Like calm the fuck down, some people wont get to see it right away and you don't need to ruin it for anyone who has to wait.

People are such assholes these days about that shit.

You can easily denote this by putting mission titles and chapters in the title instead of the biggest fucking spoiler of the game.

I know someone that got spoiled on rdr2's ending just by casually watching a random overwatch stream. What happened was someone made a comment spoiling the game, and the streamer read the comment out aloud, =/ lol *The streamer also was pretty pissed*

Its at that point where its better to not bother with any random videos for any random game if you are playing a super hyped up release. (Same thing goes for movies. I pretty much know the entirety of avengers infinity war just by watching random gaming streams).
