I'm not talking about videos like AVGN or Nostalgia Critic because whatever your opinion on them is, they put effort into it.

There are reaction channels where they literally just play the video/game/song. That's it. Blows my mind.

Reaction videos are as dumb as unboxing videos. Why waste time seeing someone's else reaction which may or may not be genuine as opposed to experiencing it yourself?

I enjoy reaction videos. Especially to songs that came out I really like. I just enjoy seeing others enjoy parts/moments of a song that I did.

That's better than people making money from outrage game news channels. Those types of video tend to have errors or bias, and they're usually just people repeating other people's thoughts and opinions.

People would rather watch others experience wonder and emotion than experience it themselves. And I thought unboxing videos were the peak of dumb and useless videos to watch.

I always find it funny when you see people react to music they've apparently never heard of like they've been living under a rock for all their life and never ever heard a note of certain musical genres. They act like their minds have been completely blown like whatever genre came from the heavens or aliens or something.

If your plan is to purchase whatever the YouTuber is unboxing, doesn't watching their video ruin the suspense of unboxing it yourself for the first time? I can understand looking at pictures of the product online to see what you'll be getting, but actually watching someone spoiling everything for you just doesn't make much sense to me.
