I was bullied for about a decade straight, and it really did a number on me. I'm only just now starting to stabilise and step out on my own, and even that has taken 5 years out of school for me to get to this point. It's a big reason why I try to be as stable and thoughtful on here as I can - you only reap what you sow, you're never going to get an earnest answer out of anyone if you can't show a bare minimum of your genuine self and extend the same respect that you would like to be treated with. That's my ulterior motive here, just to see how this played out and to react appropriately.
